Clients who have reserved a massage, facial, or body treatment will receive a locker, robe, and slippers when they arrive at milk + honey.

As you change into your robe, dress to your comfort level. During a massage treatment, our therapists drape you to protect your privacy, so being completely naked is appropriate. If you feel more comfortable wearing undergarments for your massage, please feel free to do so. If your treatment involves rinsing with water, or if you’re receiving certain waxing treatments, we recommend bringing a bathing suit.

To save time and make the most of your visit to milk + honey, we encourage you to fill out your digital intake forms before you arrive. You can find a link to your forms in your appointment confirmation and reminder emails.

Please arrive 15 – 20 minutes before your appointment. Arriving early allows you to find a good parking spot and transition from the outside world to the tranquility of milk + honey. You may also fill out paperwork and change into a robe and slippers provided prior to your treatment. Arriving late cheats you out of valuable treatment time. If you arrive late, your treatment will still end on time in consideration of the next client.

When booking a reservation with us, please note that appointment times may need to be adjusted based on the treatment or service that you select.

When scheduling your treatment, please let us know if you have any physical ailments, medical conditions, or allergies. Our practitioners should also be notified if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, have a heart condition, or have any other medical condition. Our staff will personalize your treatment to meet any special needs or accommodations you may require.

We do not perform prenatal massages on those that may be pregnant before 13 weeks (second trimester). Arriving late cuts down on your valuable treatment time. If you arrive late, your treatment will still end on time in consideration of the next client. For waxing treatments (other than an eyebrow wax/tweeze), we are usually able to accommodate an arrival of up to five minutes late and will complete the service as much as possible within the allotted time that is left. For all other services, for arrivals up to 15 minutes after the appointment start time, the service will be accommodated as much as possible with the time that is left. We will always accommodate as much of the appointment time as your late arrival allows.

milk + honey is located at 945 N. State St. Chicago, IL 60610 on the second floor above the Walgreens between Oak St. and Walton St. We do not validate parking in any of the nearby garages. There is street parking available on State St. Meter and “Pay to Park” options are available on Oak St. and Lasalle St. If you are taking public transport, the Red Line stops within walking distance at Chicago station, or take bus route 36 to the Bellevue stop, one block away. milk + honey is located in the West Ave River Oaks development in Suite A134 (across from Tootsies and Pondicheri). The entrance to the spa is located on the first floor. Los Angeles | Brentwood
milk + honey is located at 11826 San Vicente Blvd, between the Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library and Wells Fargo. There is complimentary street parking on Gorham Ave., the neighborhood street behind the spa.

Please note: there are specific hours where parking is not available on Gorham Ave. because of street cleaning: Thursday 9 am-12 pm on the side going away from San Vicente and Friday 9 am-12 pm on the side going toward San Vicente. There is metered parking directly in front of the spa (and the very tip of Gorham); however, it is only for 1 hour at a time and we will not be assisting clients with refilling their meters. milk + honey is located at 8900 Venice Blvd, Suite 102, Los Angeles, CA 90232 next to Mayweather Boxing in the red building on the corner of National Blvd and Venice Blvd.

Complimentary 90-minute parking with validation is available. After 90 minutes, an additional 30 minutes can be added with a parking fee. To hold a reservation, you must provide a valid credit card. This applies even if you intend to pay with a gift certificate. We know that life can be busy and full of the unexpected, so if you must cancel your treatment, please provide at least 24 hours notice.

Should you not arrive for your scheduled reservation, or cancel within the 24-hour period prior to your reservation, you will be charged half of the treatment price for spa or salon services.

For Medical Aesthetics Treatments, should you not arrive for your scheduled reservation or if you cancel with less than a 24-hours notice you will be charged a flat fee of $75.00. This fee is applicable to all Medical Aesthetic services, including consultations and follow-ups. If you are running late and come in after your start time we can reschedule at no charge, however there is no guarantee we can reschedule your appointment for the same day.

As a Spa Partisan, we know you want to show appreciation for the quality service provided by milk + honey practitioners. Gratuities at milk + honey average between 18 and 22 percent of the treatment price, but we always respect your tipping decisions. You may give your therapist a gratuity in cash or by credit card at the front desk at check out.

milk + honey accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Apply Pay, Google Pay, and cash (cash policy varies by location & is listed below). milk + honey does not accept personal checks.

Gift Certificates:

• Once the purchase is located and confirmed in our system, unused gift certificates may be returned to the original payment method. We are unable to process refunds for partially used gift certificates. If a bonus gift certificate was awarded in conjunction with the original gift certificate purchase, the bonus gift certificate will need to be returned as well.

Children ages 5 – 15 may receive a manicure, pedicure, or polish change when accompanied by an adult. Partisans under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If you wish to schedule multiple children, each child must have an adult accompanying them to receive services

We offer clipper-style cuts or scissor cuts for children ages 5 and above. Under 5 years of age, we do not service. 16+ does not require adult supervision. Underage Partisans must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Teenagers ages 15 to 17 may receive the Head, Hands, and Foot Massage with a same-gender therapist. Clients are required to wear swimwear or be fully clothed to receive service.

Teenagers between the ages of 12 to 17 may receive facial services and/or facial and arm waxing. Underage clients may not receive waxing services below the waist.

We ask all of our clients:

For the safety and comfort of our guests and staff: babies, toddlers, and children are not permitted to accompany an adult during service or to the relaxation lounge and must be accompanied by another adult if waiting in the outer lobby area. We are happy to reschedule your reservation to a date and time that childcare is secured.

Children ages 17 and under must have a parent or guardian in the spa throughout the duration of their treatment. The client and the parent/guardian must also provide written consent before any services commence.

All guests must keep all conversations to a whisper, so as not to disrupt our other clients.

milk + honey reserves the right to terminate any service at any point if we feel that the child is interrupting other clients’ relaxation.

In consideration of others, please refrain from talking on your cell phone inside the spa. All cell phones must be in silent mode or turned off while at milk + honey. We also request that you don’t use a laptop in our lounge, but you may use your laptop while getting a pedicure if you so choose.

milk + honey cannot be responsible for any valuables brought into the spa, even those left in our lockers. We recommend that you keep your valuables with you at all times or leave them at home.

milk + honey strives to foster an atmosphere committed to inclusion and diversity for all guests and employees. milk + honey proudly hires and employs transgender employees. Service providers are designated based on the gender that they identify with.

We do not offer alcohol on-site, nor do we permit guests to bring in their own alcohol. Massage, facials, and waxing are specifically contraindicated by alcohol consumption:

• Alcohol reduces sensitivity which can lead to unintentional injury.
• Alcohol thins the blood and massage/facials increase circulation. This could cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure for a guest that has been drinking. It could loosen a blood clot that travels to the lungs, heart, or brain and cause a stroke or heart attack.
• Alcohol may cause temporary memory loss and the guest may not disclose an important medical condition that is contraindicated.
• Alcohol in the system can cause the skin to be extra sensitive to waxing, which could result in inflammation, redness, and/or bleeding.

We are unable to provide wax, massage, or facial services to any guest that has consumed alcohol prior to their service.
If we determine that a client is exhibiting inebriated behavior before or during a service, we may ask the client to reschedule their appointment to ensure the safety of the guest as well as our employees’ safety. Guests will be charged the standard cancellation fee of 50%.

We follow city and county regulations at all milk + honey locations, and these may vary by location. Please check the location page where you will receive your service to determine whether or not a mask mandate is in place.

All clients will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their reservation to allow time for an extended check-in. If their temperature is above 100ºF, we will ask the client to reschedule.

Please cancel or reschedule your reservation if you have any of the following symptoms:

• Cough
• Shortness of breath
• Chills/shaking
• Muscle pain/headache
• Sore throat
• Loss of taste or smell
• Feeling feverish
• Known contact with a person confirmed positive for COVID-19

Please note that as the CDC evolves its guidelines, we also review and update our policies to reflect these updates. Clients are not required to wear a mask while visiting the Texas and Chicago spa locations regardless of vaccination status unless:

• You have tested positive for COVID-19 within the recommended isolation period; OR
• You have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, regardless of symptoms.

milk + honey has removed masking requirements for spa guests in Los Angeles County. Therefore, clients in LA are not required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

milk + honey will continue to have masks available for any Partisan that would still like to wear them for their own comfort. milk + honey abides by all local, state, and federal legislation and regulations.

The executive team has continued to monitor COVID-19 cases across the country. As case counts have declined and stabilized over the past several weeks, we have made the decision to revise our mask protocols for unvaccinated employees. It is no longer a requirement to wear a mask while in a location regardless of vaccination status – unless:

• An employee of milk + honey has tested positive and returned to work after the recommended isolation period; OR
• An employee of milk + honey has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, regardless of the employee’s displaying symptom(s) and prior to the employee personally testing for COVID-19 within the recommended window of time from exposure.
