BBL Photofacials

Starting from $550

BBL Photofacial is a corrective phototherapy treatment that uses Broadband Light (BBL) to target signs of aging, sun damage, and other skin conditions. This laser skin treatment will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, and more vibrant.

Did you know that a BBL photofacial is more powerful and precise than an IPL photofacial? The broadband light technology allows for a more customizable, targeted treatment. Additionally, because BBL photofacials allow a higher energy level to be used safely, you can achieve better results in fewer treatments.

Pricing will vary based on an individual’s treatment.

Moxi

Starting from $700

Moxi is a nonablative, fractional laser skin resurfacing treatment that can aid in the correction of the initial signs of sun damage and aging by fixing uneven pigmentation and improving the general tone and texture of skin by way of collagen stimulation. Moxi laser treatments are fast and effective with little to no downtime.

Pricing will vary based on an individual’s treatment.

BBL Photofacial + Moxi

Starting from $950

Maximize your facial rejuvenation results by adding a Moxi treatment to your BBL photofacial. You may address the face, neck, décolletage, and/or hands.

Laser Skin Treatment FAQs

What areas/concerns do laser skin treatments address?

When lasers are applied for facial rejuvenation, light energy is emitted into the skin stimulating your cells to produce collagen resulting in fresh, healthy skin.

It can improve the look of your skin’s appearance, addressing:

  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • age and sun spots
  • uneven skin tone or texture
  • sun-damaged skin
  • mild to moderate acne scars

What's the difference between BBL and Moxi laser skin treatments?

While these laser skin resurfacing treatments have some overlap, in general BBL photofacials are focused on improving skin tone while Moxi laser treatments focus on improving texture. BBL photofacials and Moxi laser treatments help with both areas of skin rejuvenation, but for the best results we recommend using both treatments to compliment each other.

What should I expect before and during your laser skin treatment?

Before your BBL photofacial or Moxi laser treatment, our licensed medical aesthetics team will have a consultation with you to discuss your goals and develop a treatment plan. Prior to your treatment, your face will be cleaned to remove excess dirt or oil on the skin’s surface. During your treatment, your practitioner will apply the laser or light therapy to your treatment area using a hand-held device that emits gentle and precise micro-pulses of laser energy.

How long does a laser skin treatment take?

Treatments can last from 30 minutes to one hour depending on the area(s) treated.

Does laser skin resurfacing hurt?

Both BBL Photofacials and Moxi treatments fall at a 2 on the pain scale of 1 to 5. (1 – least pain; 5 – most pain.)

After arriving for the procedure, a topical anesthetic gel is sometimes applied to the treatment area. In addition to the anesthetic gel, we sometimes use a cooling device to chill the skin to make the procedure even more comfortable.

A minimal amount of discomfort can be expected during a BBL Photofacial. There is generally no discomfort when the procedure is complete.

There is usually a slight stinging of the skin for about one hour following a Moxi treatment. Ice can be applied to reduce any discomfort. There is some redness and swelling following the procedure, which lasts an average of 3-6 days and can be covered with makeup within a day or two.

Is there downtime with a laser skin treatment?

There is minimal to no downtime with laser skin treatments. You may resume your daily activities or return to work after receiving treatment.

How long will laser skin treatment results last?

Patients usually require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results. Treatments are typically performed several weeks apart.

You can expect to observe a gradual improvement in overall skin color, sun spots, flushing, and dilated capillaries. Patients with visible aging can expect to see their skin become smoother, with diminished fine wrinkles and more uniform pigmentation.

Even after the first treatment, the skin will often feel smoother and have a more even tone.

How much do laser skin treatments cost?

Prices start from $550 for a BBL photofacial (face area) and will vary based on consultation and an individual’s treatment areas.

Are there contraindications for laser skin treatments?

Do not receive a laser skin treatment if you:

  • have been tanning (sun or tanning bed)
  • are on strong antibiotics, using Retin-A or bleaching cream
  • have a history of melanoma or have active skin infections

Will I receive post-care instructions after the laser skin treatment?

Yes, you will receive full post-treatment instructions from your provider in addition to the following:

  • Wear a sunblock of SPF30 or greater on a daily basis during and for 3 months after treatment sessions to help prevent adverse pigmentary or color changes.
  • There may be some degree of swelling immediately post-treatment. However, if you have excessive swelling, pain, fever, blistering, extreme itching, or any other concerns, contact us immediately.

What is Broadband Light (BBL) and what does it treat?

BBL is a photofacial treatment from Sciton that delivers multiple wavelengths of light energy into the outer skin layer. It promotes collagen production and stimulates cell regeneration to address concerns such as:

  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Active acne and scarring
  • Rosacea and redness
  • Broken capillaries
  • Freckles
  • Age spots

Note: BBL is best suited for lighter skin tones due to hypopigmentation. Speak to your medSPA provider to determine if BBL is right for you.

What areas can be treated with BBL?

Common treatment areas include the face, neck, décolleté, arms, and hands.

How often should I have BBL treatments?

We typically recommend a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Your medSPA provider will customize your treatment plan based on your skin’s needs and goals.

Is there downtime after BBL?

Downtime is minimal. Apply SPF Daily. Patients can expect redness immediately post-treatment that typically fades within a few hours. Darkened pigmentation or “coffee-ground” texture may occur and will naturally slough off within a few days. Avoid picking or scrubbing to prevent scarring. Most patients resume normal activities within 24 hours.

What is Moxi and what does it treat?

Moxi is a non-ablative fractional resurfacing laser that gently improves signs of aging by resurfacing skin with minimal downtime. It’s safe for all skin tones and customizable with three energy levels. Moxi treats:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven texture and scarring
  • Sun damage and brown pigmentation (including melasma)
  • Minor skin laxity

What areas can be treated with Moxi?

Treatments are commonly done on the face, neck, décolleté, arms, and hands.

How often should I have Moxi treatments?

We typically recommend a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Your medSPA provider will customize your treatment plan based on your skin’s needs and goals.

Is there downtime after Moxi?

Redness and warmth typically subside within 1 to 2 days. You may also experience mild swelling, pinpoint bleeding, and rough skin texture as the skin renews. Use daily SPF and avoid prolonged sun exposure during healing.

What’s the difference between BBL and Moxi?

BBL primarily improves skin tone, targeting pigmentation, redness, and vascular issues. Moxi focuses on skin texture, addressing fine lines, scarring, and minor laxity. Used together, they provide comprehensive skin rejuvenation.

Can you combine BBL and Moxi and treat on the same day?

Yes, BBL and Moxi can be safely combined and treated on the same day! Combined, they effectively target multiple skin concerns such as sun damage, uneven tone, and texture within a single, comprehensive treatment. Your medSPA provider will determine the best order and approach based on your skin type and overall goals.

What is Microneedling and what does it treat?

Microneedling is a safe, non-invasive treatment which uses tiny needles to create controlled injuries to the skin. This ultimately triggers a natural healing response within the body, resulting in the stimulation and production of elastin and collagen.

This treatment is designed to:

  • Improve scarring and pigmentation
  • Target uneven texture and tone
  • Address fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity

Is Microneedling safe for all skin types and tones?

Yes! Microneedling is safe and effective for all skin types and tones, making it an excellent option for nearly everyone.

I’m new to medSPA treatments - would this be a good place to start?

Definitely. Microneedling is a great “intro” treatment for first-time medSPA patients. It’s non-invasive, requires minimal downtime, and delivers both immediate and long-term skin health benefits.

What are the benefits of combining Microneedling with a HydraFacial?

This powerful pairing merges Hydrafacial’s cleansing and hydrating benefits with Microneedling’s ability to boost collagen and refine skin texture, resulting in a smoother, brighter, and more radiant complexion.

Microneedling

We offer minimally invasive microneedling treatments to address scarring, large pores, wrinkles, loose skin, stretch marks + acne breakouts. Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, microneedling triggers your natural healing process to stimulate increased collagen production with little to no down-time.

Injectables + Fillers

We offer safe, effective cosmetic injectables, including neuromodulators (Xeomin, Botox, Dysport), soft-tissue fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Revanesse), and Kybella, a deoxycholic acid that dissolves fat cells beneath the chin.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a safe, non-invasive, minimal-downtime skin procedure that involves using a sharp tool to exfoliate the surface of your skin while also removing small, fine hairs. Dermaplaning yields deeper product penetration, promotes smoother skin, reduces the appearance of acne scars, and diminishes the look of fine lines.
