Who is an ideal candidate?
SKINVIVE is designed for patients looking to combat dullness, enhance overall skin quality or just replenish skin hydration. To combat a variety of skin concerns, this treatment pairs perfectly with our Hydrafacials/Facials, BBL/Moxi, Microneedling or Injectables/Dermal Fillers services and can be performed on the same day.
What should I expect during treatment?
Our medical providers will conduct a personalized assessment to determine if SKINVIVE is right for you. Following this, our providers will first apply a topical lidocaine cream to the treatment area and then inject the product superficially in a grid-like pattern on the cheeks.
How long does a SKINVIVE treatment take?
A SKINVIVE treatment typically takes about 90 minutes.
Does SKINVIVE hurt?
During the treatment, the patient will experience pain due to the injection, along with a burning sensation from the medication. The patient may develop redness and swelling. Ice packs and numbing cream will be on hand to diminish discomfort and reduce swelling.
Is there downtime?
One of the greatest benefits of this treatment is that there is little to no downtime! Patients can expect to experience mild swelling and/or bruising.
How long will my results last?
It is important to recognize that this treatment is not a dermal filler and will not add volume to the face. In clinical studies, patients report satisfaction with improved skin quality and see a visible ‘glow’ for up to 6 months. Patients can also expect to see a slight ‘plumping’ effect immediately following their treatment due to swelling, however, full results can take up to 4 weeks to see.

Are there contraindications?
Do not receive a Sculptra treatment if you have:
- Severe allergies with a history of anaphylaxis.
- A history or known presence of multiple severe allergies.
- A known sensitivity or allergy to gram-positive bacterial proteins.
- Any known allergies to lidocaine.
Will I receive post-care instructions?
Yes, you will receive full post-treatment instructions from your provider in addition to the following:
- Rest and intermittently ice the treated region
- Refrain from heavy exercise, makeup application, or prolonged sun exposure 24 hours following their treatment.
